In accordance with section 116 of the National Electricity Law, AEMO has issued a direction to a participant in the SA region. For the purposes of the National Electricity Rules this is a direction under clause 4.8.9(a1)(1).
The issue of the direction commences an AEMO intervention event. AEMO declares all trading intervals during the event to be intervention trading intervals, commencing from the interval ending 1505 hrs on 27/02/2025.
Intervention pricing does not apply to this AEMO intervention event.
AEMO may issue or revoke additional directions in order to meet the current requirement, unless sufficient market response is provided. A further market notice will be issued when all directions related to this requirement have been cancelled.

AEMO has identified a foreseeable circumstance that may require an AEMO intervention event in the SA region from 1030 hrs 28/02/2025.
The foreseeable circumstance requiring the need for intervention is Voltage.
AEMO estimates that, in the absence of sufficient market response by 1500 hrs 27/02/2025, AEMO may need to intervene by issuing a direction.

Key Impacts:
MSATS, Meter Data Processing, RM reports, B2B, B2M screens, NMI Discovery, CDR, and CDP will be unavailable.
Logged-in users before the outage will not be affected, but logging out means waiting until the outage ends to log back in.
Password resets and new account creations during the URM outage must be redone.
MSATS and NOS Server FTP sessions will be disabled, but Wholesale MMS FTP will remain available.
Plain English constraints and the redirection menu will be unavailable during the outage.
Capacity auction bidding via the Markets Portal and direct API calls will be unavailable.
Gas Supply Hub will remain open for trading, but reports will be inaccessible via Publishing Direct.
Recommendation:
Users should log in before the outage and remain logged in to avoid disruptions.

- All access to the Electricity B2B Hub will be unavailable.
- All access to the Gas B2B Hub and all ebXML gateways (AEMOMIBB, AGNLGWY, LVI & VENCORP) will be unavailable. CATS and MDMT transactions for VIC/QLD will be delayed during the maintenance window.
- Users are not required to take any action due to this change, however will need to enact manual workarounds for the outage period.
