Reconciliation Action Plan
In FY2024, we launched our inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). AEMO acknowledges the traditional Custodians and Elders of the land on which we work, live, and operate and our vision for reconciliation is to create a future based on mutual respect and understanding.
Our Reflect RAP aligns with AEMO’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy, our corporate priorities and our values – it is a representation of who we are and what we stand for. It makes commitments which we believe lay foundations for AEMO to create lasting impact as allies in advancing reconciliation in Australia.
AEMO’s RAP sets out practical actions we plan to take towards reconciliation. AEMO is privileged to work in a range of locations across Australia, and our action plan commits to increasing understanding, value and recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and rights in the communities in which we work.
This plan presents a path for AEMO and our employees to recognise the importance of reconciliation. This is the first step, and our actions outlined in this RAP are intended to grow and deepen as we develop further opportunities toward reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
