An Actual LOR2 condition has been declared under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region from 1730 hrs.
The Actual LOR2 condition is forecast to exist until 1800 hrs
The capacity reserve required is 714 MW
The minimum reserve available is 560 MW
AEMO is seeking an immediate market response.
An insufficient market response may require AEMO to implement a AEMO intervention event.

At 2036 hrs the Happy Valley - Morphett Vale East and the Morphett Vale - Cherry Gardens 275kV lines were returned to service.
The cause of this non-credible contingency event has been identified and AEMO is satisfied that another occurrence of this event is unlikely under the current circumstances.
AEMO will not reclassify this event as a credible contingency event.

At 1632 hrs the Happy Valley - Morphett Vale East 275kV Line and the Morphett Vale - Cherry Gardens 275kV line tripped.
AEMO did not instruct load shedding.
AEMO has not been advised of any disconnection of bulk electrical load.
The cause of this non credible contingency event is not known at this stage.

The Forecast LOR3 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 121818 is cancelled at 1200 hrs on 13/12/2024.
No LOR3 condition is currently forecast in the STPASA period.

The Forecast LOR3 condition in the NSW region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No. 121817 has been updated at 0800 hrs 13/12/2024 to the following:
From 1630 hrs to 1900 hrs 16/12/2024.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 321 MW at 1730 hrs.
AEMO is seeking a market response.
AEMO has not yet estimated the latest time it would need to intervene through an AEMO intervention event.

AEMO declares a Forecast LOR3 condition under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the NSW region for the following periods:
[1.] From 1500 hrs 17/12/2024 to 1900 hrs 17/12/2024.
The maximum load (other than interruptible loads) forecast to be interrupted is 376 MW at 1630 hrs.
