Inter-regional transfer limit variation - No.2 Leg of Directlink - NSW region - 13/02/2025

A planned outage of the No.2 Leg of Directlink in the NSW region was scheduled from 1517 hrs 30/01/2025 to 1700 hrs 20/02/2025.

The outage has been completed and the No.2 Leg of Directlink returned to service at 1312 hrs 13/02/2025

Following review of the operation of the Very Fast FCAS market, from 1300 hrs AEST on Monday 17th February AEMO will remove the cap on dispatch of Very Fast Raise (R1) Contingency FCAS.

No other changes to the dispatch of Very Fast FCAS or FCAS constraint equations will be made on this date.

The Actual LOR1 Condition in the SA Region advised in AEMO Electricity Market Notice No.124572 is cancelled at 2040 hrs 12/02/2025.

Actual Lack Of Reserve Level 1 (LOR1) in the SA region - 12/02/2025

An Actual LOR1 condition has been declared under clause 4.8.4(b) of the National Electricity Rules for the SA region from 1830 hrs.
The Actual LOR1 condition is forecast to exist until 1930 hrs

The capacity reserve requirement is 524 MW
The minimum capacity reserve available is 470 MW

AEMO's weather service provider has issued forecast temperatures equal to or greater than the NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels for listed weather stations below.

Mt Gambier Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Feb
Port Augusta Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Feb

VIC
Mildura Ap (39+ Deg C): 12th Feb

The NEM Local Temperature Alert Levels are:

Launceston Ti Tree Bend: 33 Deg C, Dalby Airport: 37 Deg C, for all other selected weather stations: 39 Deg C.

AEMO requests Market Participants to:

1. review the weather forecast in the local area where their generating units / MNSP converter stations are located and,

2. if required, update the available capacity in their dispatch offers or availability submissions consistent with the forecast temperatures.
