ElectraNet has published the Project Assessment Conclusions Report (PACR) on managing the risk of line conductor failure.
The PACR is the final stage of an investigation into the most economic option to address the risk of line conductors failing on seven 132 kV transmission lines in South Australia’s transmission network in the Mid North and Riverland regions and to maintain safe and efficient electricity supply to customers.
The identified option is to replace the line conductors on the seven 132 kV transmission lines. ElectraNet intends to commence work on replacing the line conductors in 2023 and to have all conductors replaced by the end of 2026.
