The Information Exchange Committee has concluded its consultation on its proposed IEC Election Procedures and Operating Manual. Thirty-one B2B stakeholders submitted feedback on the proposed IEC Election Procedures and Operating Manual. Twenty-seven of these submissions supported the changes as proposed, and four submissions broadly supported the changes but suggested minor amendments. These minor amendments have largely been incorporated; the IEC’s full responses to submissions can be found in the draft and final papers.
The IEC requests that all eligible voters submit a vote on the changes proposed; eligible voters may do so by sending “Support” or “Do not support” to iec@aemo.com.au with subject line “IEC Election Procedures and Operating Manual vote”.
Please submit the vote for your organisation by COB 25 October 2019.

The Information Exchange Committee (IEC) is seeking to amend the IEC Election Procedures and Operating Manual to improve the efficiency of IEC operations. The proposed changes will be submitted to a vote by industry in August, and the IEC wishes to consult with B2B stakeholders in advance of the vote to ensure that industry is briefed on the changes being proposed.
A track-changes and clean version of the proposed IEC Election Procedures and Operating Manual is provided below, as is a discussion paper regarding the changes. Any feedback on or questions about the proposed changes should be submitted to the IEC Secretariat at iec@aemo.com.au by 31 July 2019.
