AEMO has completed its consultation on the Reliability Standard Implementation Guidelines (RSIG).
This consultation was conducted under NER clause 3.9.3D, which requires AEMO to develop, publish and amend from time to time RSIG that set out how AEMO will implement the reliability standard. NER clause 11.78.4(a) provides that AEMO must publish the first RSIG by 31 December 2015.
AEMO currently assesses the future performance of the power system in the context of the reliability standard in accordance with a number of processes specified in the NER. The RSIG has combined all of the processes into a single document to provide guidance on how AEMO implements the reliability standard.
