Faults
The table below lists the locations of disturbances that are already pre-configured in the Connections Simulation Tool.
You are able to trigger a disturbance with at these locations with the following options:
Fault Time:
You may apply a fault at any time during the simulation (the default duration for a simulation is 30s), but they should be applied AFTER the PSCAD model initialization period (i.e., after 15s).
Fault Duration:
You can select how long the disturbance will be applied for
Fault Type :
For example, you can select to apply a disturbance at Ballarat - Waubra - Ararat 220kV Tee Line (Fault ID 32040), and then subsequently you can select any desired fault type to apply (e.g., AG, ABG, ABC, BCG, etc.).
Clearance Options:
You can choose between primary or secondary clearance.
For any disturbance not listed in the table, you must request it within your case submission, where the Connections Simulation Tool team will assess any such requests and add it to your case if it is reasonable to do so.
