Outage Intention Plan

Under Chapter 3.19 of the WEM Rules, Market Participants and Network operator are to submit an interim and final Outage Intention Plan for the upcoming calendar year. 

AEMO will develop and publish an Interim Annual Consolidated Outage Intention Plan by 1 May as required by clause 3.19.6 and by 1 September AEMO will publish the Final Annual Consolidated Intention Plan for the following year as required by clause 3.19.10, which will show all intended Outages for the following calendar year. The Annual Consolidated Outage Intention Plan will consider all validly submitted Outage Intention Plans and will include recommendations to Market Participants to potentially adjust the timing of certain concurrent Outages ensuring sufficient reserves are available.

The Annual consolidated Outage Intention Plan is not binding on AEMO, Market Participants or Network Operators.

This Annual Consolidated Outage Intention Plan published here contains a Gantt Chart showing reserves, including potential lack of reserves as well as scheduling recommendations to Market Participants for the next calendar year to plan intended Outages.
