Participant administration and user rights

The AEMO Security Model permits assigned participant administrators (PAs) to manage their own participant user's access to AEMO’s IT systems. Your company's PA is assigned during the AEMO registration process.

Depending on the AEMO application, PAs manage their participant users in one of  the following applications.

User Rights Management

PAs manage access to the Markets Portal in the User Rights Management web application. Markets Portal applications require access to AEMO's data network connection, MarketNet.

System Access Management (SAM)PAs manage access to the Application Portal in the SAM web application. The Application Portal is accessed securely over the internet using multi-factor authentication (MFA). it does not require access to AEMO's data network connection, MarketNet.
